2 (64 oz.) containers refrigerated 100% apple cider
6 (3 inch) cinnamon sticks, plus more for garnish
1 lemon, sliced
4 star anise, plus more for garnish
1 whole nutmeg
1 (2 inch) piece ginger root, peeled and sliced
Granny Smith apples, sliced lengthwise, for garnish
Fuji apples, sliced lengthwise, for garnish
Directions
- Pour cider into a 7-qt. slow cooker. Add 6 cinnamon sticks, lemon slices, 4 star anise, nutmeg, and ginger root.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 2½ to 3 hours or until warm and desired spice level has developed. Reduce setting to warm. Garnish slow cooker with apple slices, cinnamon sticks, and star anise.
