King Crab and Lobster Party Dip
Creamy and perfectly seasoned, the star of this party favorite is succulent crab paired with lobster, spices and crusty bread for an easy yet elegant appetizer.

King Crab and Lobster Party Dip

Ingredients
16 to 20 cups water
2 Tbsp. Old Bay seasoning, divided
2 lemons, halved
1 (8 oz.) pkg. frozen wild-caught lobster tail
1 lb. frozen king crab arm with claw
1 (24 oz.) container Fresh Thyme plain nonfat Greek yogurt
2 (8 oz.) container whipped cream cheese
1 small shallot, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. reserved cooking water
Organic smoked paprika, for garnish
Fresh dill, for garnish
Fresh Thyme bakery breads and/or fresh vegetables, for serving
Directions
- In a large stock pot, add water and 1 Tbsp. Old Bay seasoning. Squeeze lemon halves into water, then add. Bring to boil. Add frozen lobster tails; boil for 3 to 4 minutes or until lobster tails reach 145°F. Remove from boiling water; reserve water in stock pot. Slightly cool lobster tail. Remove meat from shells and break into large chunks. Set aside to cool.
- Return water in stock pot to boil. Add frozen crab; boil for 3 to 4 minutes or until crab reaches 145°F. Remove from boiling water; reserve 2 Tbsp. cooking water. Slightly cool crab. Remove meat from shells and break into large chunks. Set aside to cool.
- Meanwhile, in a food processor, place yogurt, cream cheese, shallot, reserved 2 Tbsp. cooking water, and remaining 1 Tbsp. Old Bay seasoning. Cover and pulse for 30 to 60 seconds or until combined.
- Transfer yogurt mixture to a large serving bowl. Gently stir in lobster and crab, and 2 Tbsp. lemon juice.
- Garnish smoked paprika and dill, if desired. Serve with breads and/or vegetables for dippers.
